lyrics

We rose as mighty tides
The spaces we've gone through time
We began to crash in style
As the heart ached its fate

I thought things would be so much easier

By the River of Life
I tried to hold to what wasn't mine
But now you're drifting away
To another steady water flow
From this I'll surely grow
So I'll take it slow now
Wish you didn't go
I don't know...

I did what I thought was right
Not knowing that I didn't have a choice
The course was already set inside her heart
Don't you know dreams were never known to last?

I thought things would be so much easier

By the River of Life
I tried to hold to what wasn't mine
But now you're drifting away
To another steady water flow
From this I'll surely grow
So I'll take it slow now
Wish you didn't go
I don't know...

Don't let yourself be fooled again
Things can happen if you wish them to
This life it is yours to take
Don't you want to get away from hell?

I never really knew who you were
